Sook & Cook — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome to Sook & Cook. These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made through Sookandcook.com and to experiences, activities, culinary workshops, food tours, market visits, day trips and other services offered under the Sook & Cook brand.
By making a booking with Sook & Cook, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the other participants included in your booking.
1. About Sook & Cook
Sook & Cook creates and curates immersive culinary and cultural experiences designed to connect travelers with local food, markets, people and traditions.
Our experiences may be delivered in collaboration with carefully selected local hosts, chefs, cooks, licensed guides, venues, transport providers and other independent service providers.
Our signature Souk-to-Table experiences typically combine local market discovery with hands-on cooking and a shared meal, although the exact format varies by destination and experience.
Sook & Cook is launching in Morocco with the intention of expanding to other destinations internationally.
2. Making a Booking
Bookings can be made through Sookandcook.com or through an authorized Sook & Cook sales channel.
When making a booking, the lead traveler must provide accurate and complete information, including:
- Full name and contact details
- Number and ages of participants where required
- Selected date and experience
- Dietary requirements and food allergies
- Any mobility or accessibility requirements that may affect participation
- Other information reasonably required to operate the experience
A booking is considered confirmed once the required payment has been successfully received and Sook & Cook has issued a booking confirmation, unless the experience is specifically marked On Request or Subject to Confirmation.
Please check your confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.
3. Prices
Prices are displayed on the individual experience page and may vary according to destination, date, group size, private or shared format, season, transportation requirements and optional extras.
Unless stated otherwise, prices include only the services specifically listed under What’s Included on the experience page.
Personal expenses, gratuities, additional food or drinks, transportation and other services not expressly listed as included are the responsibility of the guest.
Sook & Cook reserves the right to change prices for future bookings. Once a booking has been confirmed and paid for, its price will not normally change unless the customer subsequently requests a modification.
4. Payments
The amount required at the time of booking will be clearly displayed before payment.
Depending on the experience, Sook & Cook may require:
full payment at booking, or
a deposit followed by a remaining balance.
Where a deposit is accepted, the confirmation will state the outstanding amount and payment deadline.
Bookings may be cancelled if a required balance is not paid by the specified deadline.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Sook & Cook does not store complete payment-card details.
5. Cancellations by Guests
Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly stated on the individual experience page, the following standard policy applies:
More than 7 days before the experience:
Cancellation is eligible for a full refund.
Between 7 days and 48 hours before the experience:
50% of the booking value is refundable.
Less than 48 hours before the experience:
The booking is non-refundable.
No-show:
No refund will be provided.
Where an individual experience has a different cancellation policy, the policy displayed on that experience page at the time of booking takes precedence.
Any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred specifically for the booking may also be excluded from a refund where this was clearly disclosed before booking.
6. Booking Changes
We understand that travel plans can change.
Requests to change a booking date, time, number of participants or other arrangements should be made as early as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, but modifications remain subject to availability and may result in a price difference.
A requested change is not confirmed until Sook & Cook confirms it in writing.
7. Cancellations or Changes by Sook & Cook
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may require us to modify an experience.
Examples may include:
- Host or guide illness or unavailability
- Market closures
- Weather conditions
- Transportation disruption
- Ferry cancellations or delays
- Venue availability
- Public holidays
- Government restrictions
- Safety concerns
- Events beyond reasonable operational control
Where possible, we may provide a suitable replacement host, guide, venue, activity or itinerary while preserving the overall nature and quality of the booked experience.
If we are unable to provide the essential elements of the experience, we may offer an alternative date, a comparable experience, a credit or an appropriate refund depending on the circumstances.
Minor itinerary adjustments that do not materially change the overall experience do not normally entitle the guest to a refund.
8. Markets and Seasonal Ingredients
One of the defining features of Sook & Cook is the connection between local markets and local kitchens.
Markets are dynamic environments, and the availability of particular ingredients, vendors and products changes according to season, day and local conditions.
Photographs, menus and example dishes on our website are therefore illustrative.
Your host may adapt ingredients or dishes according to seasonality, availability, dietary requirements and local circumstances.
We believe this flexibility is part of an authentic market-to-table experience.
9. Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Guests must inform Sook & Cook of all food allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements before the experience.
We and our partners will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements where possible. However, some experiences take place in kitchens, markets, homes, restaurants or shared food-preparation environments where allergens may be present.
We therefore cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment unless explicitly stated.
Guests with severe or potentially life-threatening allergies should contact us before booking so that we can determine whether the selected experience can be safely accommodated.
Failure to disclose a known allergy or dietary requirement may limit our ability to accommodate the guest.
10. Cooking Activities
Sook & Cook experiences may involve knives, cooking equipment, hot surfaces, open flames, ovens and other normal kitchen activities.
Guests are expected to follow the instructions of the host and exercise reasonable care.
Children participating in cooking activities must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.
Hosts may restrict participation in particular tasks where they reasonably consider them unsuitable or unsafe for a participant.
11. Children and Families
Many Sook & Cook experiences welcome families and children.
Minimum ages, child prices and participation requirements may vary by experience and will be indicated on the relevant experience page where applicable.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising children throughout the experience.
12. Guides, Hosts and Local Partners
Sook & Cook works with local professionals and independent partners who may include licensed guides, culinary hosts, chefs, cooks, riads, restaurants, cooking venues, transportation companies and other service providers.
Where local regulations require specific licensing or authorization, we aim to work with appropriately qualified providers.
Sook & Cook may substitute a particular host, guide or venue where reasonably necessary without changing the essential nature of the experience.
13. Meeting Points and Punctuality
Guests are responsible for arriving at the confirmed meeting point at the specified time.
Please allow sufficient time for traffic, public transportation and unfamiliar surroundings.
If you expect to be late, contact us as soon as possible.
Where possible, we will try to accommodate reasonable delays. However, experiences cannot always be extended or delayed because of other guests, host schedules, market opening hours or subsequent bookings.
Significant lateness may be treated as a no-show where the experience can no longer reasonably be provided.
14. Transportation and Day Trips
Some Sook & Cook experiences may include transportation, ferry crossings or transfers.
Where transportation is included, the exact arrangements will be stated on the experience page or booking confirmation.
Guests remain responsible for ensuring that they possess all passports, visas, travel authorizations and other documents required for international travel.
Sook & Cook cannot be responsible for denied boarding or entry resulting from missing, expired or inadequate travel documents.
Ferry, airline, rail and other transportation schedules may be changed or cancelled by their respective operators. Where this affects a Sook & Cook experience, we will make reasonable efforts to reorganize the itinerary, but arrangements will depend on the circumstances and recoverability of third-party costs.
15. Travel Documents and Entry Requirements
For experiences involving international travel, including travel between Spain and Morocco, each guest is responsible for checking the passport, visa and entry requirements applicable to their nationality and personal circumstances.
Information provided by Sook & Cook concerning entry requirements is general guidance only and should be independently verified with the appropriate official authorities before travel.
16. Guest Conduct
We want our experiences to be respectful to guests, hosts and local communities.
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward:
- Local residents and vendors
- Hosts and guides
- Other participants
- Cultural and religious traditions
- Markets and private venues
- Local laws and customs
Sook & Cook or its partners may end a guest’s participation where behavior is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, dangerous, seriously disruptive or unlawful.
In such circumstances, no refund may be provided.
17. Photography and Content
Guests are welcome to take photographs for personal use where appropriate, but should respect instructions concerning photography in markets, private homes, religious places or other sensitive locations.
Always ask before taking close-up photographs of local residents or vendors.
Sook & Cook will not use identifiable photographs or videos of guests for commercial marketing without appropriate permission where consent is legally required.
18. Accessibility and Mobility
Markets, historic medinas and traditional buildings can include uneven surfaces, stairs, narrow streets and areas with limited vehicle access.
Guests with mobility concerns or accessibility requirements should contact us before booking.
We will provide available information and make reasonable efforts to identify suitable experiences, but accessibility varies considerably between destinations and venues.
19. Personal Belongings
Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings during an experience.
Sook & Cook cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
We recommend taking normal precautions in markets and other busy public areas.
20. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that travelers obtain appropriate travel insurance covering, where relevant:
- Trip cancellation
- Medical expenses
- Personal belongings
- Travel delays
- Transportation disruption
- Personal liability
International travelers should ensure their policy provides appropriate coverage for their destination and planned activities.
21. Responsibility and Liability
Sook & Cook takes reasonable care in designing experiences and selecting service providers.
However, travel and culinary experiences involve circumstances that may be outside our direct control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sook & Cook will not be responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by the independent actions of third parties, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right or liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
22. Force Majeure
Sook & Cook will not be liable for failure or delay in providing services where this results from circumstances beyond reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flooding, epidemic or pandemic restrictions, war, civil disturbance, strikes, border closures, government action, transportation disruption or similar extraordinary circumstances.
We will nevertheless make reasonable efforts to assist affected guests and identify practical alternatives.
23. Website Content
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on Sookandcook.com accurate and current.
However, photographs, menus, itineraries, timings and descriptions may occasionally differ from the actual experience because of seasonal availability or local operational circumstances.
Images should be considered representative unless explicitly stated otherwise.
24. Reviews
Guests who complete an experience may be invited to leave a review.
Reviews should reflect genuine personal experiences and may be moderated for spam, abusive language, unlawful content or content unrelated to the experience.
We do not alter genuine reviews simply because they contain criticism.
25. Privacy
Personal information collected during booking is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be shared with relevant hosts, guides, transportation providers or other partners only where reasonably necessary to deliver the booked services or comply with legal requirements.
26. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Sook & Cook name, logo, branding, website design, written content, original photography and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Sook & Cook.
They may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
27. Complaints
If something is not as expected during your experience, please raise the issue with your host, guide or Sook & Cook as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to address it.
If the issue cannot be resolved during the experience, please contact us after the activity with your booking reference and relevant details.
We aim to handle complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.
28. Changes to These Terms
Sook & Cook may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in our services, business operations or applicable law.
The terms applicable to your booking will generally be those presented to you at the time the booking was made.
